About Us
The Laurier Psychology Society (LPS) is a student-directed club that pursues the goals of promoting the field of Psychology as well as raising awareness about mental health.
LPS achieves these goals by holding events on campus throughout the academic school year that provides Psychology majors with opportunities to explore their program outside of the classroom. The club holds events such as the Meet the Prof networking event, as well as study sessions prior to exams and Psychology-themed movie nights where members of the club are encouraged to socialize and psychologically unpack the film. To promote mental health awareness the club will hold fundraisers including a noteworthy Minds on Mental Health event where mental health professionals are invited to campus to engage in table discussions with interested students.
